Managing Director

Mr. Shamim A. Chaudhury joined PEB Steel Alliance Limited after almost 40 years in Financial Sector both here & abroad as an Advisor in 2018. He was appointed as Managing Director from March 01, 2020 and after completing almost 2(two) years with this company. He started his career as Management Trainee in American Express Bank in 1980. From 1988 to 1997 he worked for Bank of Credit and Commerce International (BCCI), Basic Bank Limited and Union Bank Limited, Lusaka, Zambia. He also worked as Deputy Managing Director ONE Bank Limited and AB Bank Limited. Later on, he was appointed as Managing Director of AB Bank Limited in 2014 and worked till 2017.

Mr. Chaudhury is an accomplished Banker and Operations expert with almost 40 years of progressive experience in the financial sector. He possesses a great skill in the areas of Commercial & Corporate and Retail banking. He started banking career as Management Trainee and served in various positions in Local, Multinational and Foreign Banks. He also served in the Board of Non-Banking Financial Institution, Merchant Banking and Electronic Financial Payment and Transaction Processing Company. He comes to PEB Steel Alliance Limited with vast experience of Management and Financial Analysis & negotiable skill background and is known for his role as a “Team Player cum Leadership”.
